![]() ![]() While she has Chaos, a new motorcycle club series, out (which is really fun), I went back to read Lady Luck because someone told me it has a marriage-of-convenience trope in it, and that is a favorite setup of mine. Lady Luck by Kristen Ashley (contemporary). ![]() If you are new to the New Adult genre and want to try it, I definitely recommend starting with this one. I feel like we really get to know them and get a feel for their life on campus. The romance isn't rushed, yet they have wonderful chemistry and sexual tension. The characters come off as really mature. While all of this is going on, Jacqueline gets assaulted by a fellow student and has to deal with him the entire book. She soon realizes Lucas works at the local Starbucks, and they start a slow yet very sexy flirting dance. When she is in economics class she notices a guy at the back of the classroom who is often looking at her. ![]() They develop an easy and friendly relationship as she sets to bring her grade up. The professor recommends a tutor, but due to scheduling conflicts they only communicate over e-mail. Struggling with finding her way again, she gets lost in her economics class. Jacqueline finds herself following her boyfriend to college and she soon gets dumped. I've been on a New Adult (protagonists usually college age) kick lately and was told by many I should read this book.
